This thread is all guides made by Innovation Members or Admins. Some sections have also been added to this guide from other quest guides that have been written in the past, but re-edited by me. All people whose guides I've used to help make this one are credited at the bottom of this guide. We hope people can learn from these guides. They of course are not the best guides on Gunz, but I thought it might be better to make one big thread for our clan's guide videos/write ups than keep reposting them into new threads. Although all of the written guides (for bosses) were written by StJeaNi (Innovation Leader) and other admins/members and all of the video guides were made by Innovation Admins/members, other videos have been added to compliment as example videos for guides that have not yet been made, or as example videos for the written guides. Aside from the guides for Bosses and pages, included are also guides for Quest Combinations, NPC/Boss Stats Guides, Guides on Quest Armor/Wep Stats and Random Tips and FAQ.

WRITTEN GUIDES FOR BOSSES

Note: These written guides are guides for all the quest bosses for gunz using a team of 4 players. They are not guides for solos.

Dungeon

HP/AP Tips:
Superion - Go with an ap balanced outfit, that would be saying if you are good enough to dodge his sword attacks(which is relatively easy) his other attacks are slightly harder to avoid and do more damage to ap then hp.

Superion (1-1-2) [SAFE/RUSH]
1-Mob/Shoot
1-Lock
2-Shooters (Near Boss/Away from Mobber)
This
lock strategy benefits both fast rush and safe play, there is no reason
not to do it. The locker holds boss in position so that the 2 shooters
can pb the boss with atleast 110 ammo from a clip hits while the mobber
takes care of all other npc. The best location to start mobbing is the
2nd pole away from boss, so that the locker and shooters only have to
take care of one npc harrassing the locker. The best location to lock
is to position the boss in the middle of the first 2 pole counted from
boss spawn, so that the mobber can also shoot boss without any pole
blocking while shooters can hit boss ezily by standing behind him. The
best place for the shooter's running route is near the wall because the
mobber will be in the middle. Dash fast once the last stage starts.
There are two ways of locking the boss, one with melee, and the other with guns.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM1l_6S6qRk - Video by Re.tardz made by gamermatt - Currently Cobalt Leader
HP/AP Tips:
Aneramon - Definitely have lots of ap, most of the damage you will be dealt will most likely be ap prone, that is how aneramon's damage is usually dealt.

Aneramon [SAFE]
1-Cross
3-Be Smart dont be stupid*
As the crosser runs out to circle boss with the npc around him, the
3 smart questers should stay at the start, because it allows most npc
from the mid bridge to go to the crosser to decrease the amount of
messiness on bridge.
The 3 smart questers should only kill what they only need to, like
mini-aneramons and mages. The crosser kills
mini-aneramon in his area so that he can make a easy small circle for
him to pb boss without having to catch up in speed vs mini-anearmon. It
is beneficial for the whole team, because the smaller the circle the
crosser can make, the closer the non-crossers can shoot the boss easier.
When u need ammo, kill mages first if ur crossing, drag some out to kill if ur not crossing,
never mass kill, because mass kill will result in mass spawn. Kill what
u only need to kill, observe after u killed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjXDfI-0cm8 - Made by BurntJello - Incessant Leader
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnKZgtKE0lc - Video by Re.tardz made by gamermatt - Currently Cobalt Leader

Aneramon [RUSH]
4-Cross
Everyone spam their ammo and try pb as much as u can on
to the boss, keep moving around and avoid getting hit, expect to get
hit a few by non-melee npc, kill when u need ammo and once u get ammo,
kill boss fast, players should end up in blue or yellow (120hp/0ap)

Aneramon [Pro Rush]
1-Lock
2-Cross
1-Mob
First just as in safe tactic, only 1 person crosses.
The rest start near the boss in the middle of the bridge to attract more than half of the npcs.
Only kill all the mini aneramons in the start.
The crosser than starts to lure the boss into one of the corners making a very small circle.
Then 2 more people cross onto the other corner of the locker.
The 2 who crossed then shoot the boss without the worry of npcs hitting them since,
the 1 person who is left behind mobs the rest of the npcs.
Only kill mages when ammo is needed and don't mass kill.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JNsffVCVr0 Video by Chihakuryu - Innovation Admin

Aneramon [GREED]
1-Cross
3-Noncrosser
Like the safe strategy mentioned above, but this is for some
crossers who dont care about mini-aneramon around them, non-crossers
retaliate in a greedy way that they ignore what they need to kill first
to control the population of mini aneramon, in this strategy, u just
wanna do whatever u want to win as fast as u can without getting into
the crossing circle. A pretty non organized way, preferable use the
above 3 strategies.

HP/AP Tips:
Lich - Ap based outfit once again, same reason as Aneramon. If you have enough ap you can live through the meteor massive, if you are lucky, and his other attacks are largely done to ap.

LICH [RUSH/SAFE?/GREED?]
1-Circle
3-Stairs
This strategy is pretty safe for those 3
shooters on the stair under the condition of nothing is killed, so
nothing will be spawned at the stairs by any chance. The circler needs
to make a tight circle while he is or is not shooting Lich, the point
is not to leak any npc on to the stairs, or else it'll probably ruin the
game play. Mini aneramon can be chosen to be killed or not depends on
the circle's favor. Also, the people on the stairs should watch for mini aneramons
and kill them with rifles when they have the chance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1R7flpxer4 - Video by Winland Made by I_owned - Leader

LICH [RUSH/GREED/FFA]
1-Circle
3-ROFS (Roll On Floor Shooting)
This strategy is probably for people who dont know about the
3-Stairs method, this more like dodging and running and shooting like
the rush strategy in aneramon, be safe, dont get owned by lich himself.
Try to get most ammo to hit. Once u have no ammo, kill what u need to
kill before those harmless ones. One thing to note, near the spawn, almost no npcs spawn,
so if you need to med, its best to med in that area.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLPmhswVAik – Video by BlackRain Made by ariedeknak.

LICH [Pro Rush]
1-Ride
2-Shooters
1-Mob
In this strategy, one person rushes to ride the lock.
2 people start at stairs and shoot the lich while lich is being riden.
The Mobber starts off at the pillars right before where the boss spawns. The mobber then mobs
all the npcs without killing any. If the mobber dies, then do the above strategy.
http://www.megavideo.com/?v=A0QJTF3H - Video by Subcultura and BossHunters

Palmpow Bosses

HP/AP Tips:
Palmpow (all Palmpows) - This one is most obvious, definitely ap, all damage done by palmpows will definitely kill off your ap before you die from lack of hp.

Palmpow Commander [RUSH]
4-Spam
Everyone spam all ammo onto the boss ignore any other npc, expect to get hit a little bit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWtODzGyrR8 - Made by BurntJello - Incessant Leader

Palmpow Idol [SAFE]
1-Seducer
3-Start/Kill
Everyone stay at start and shoot whatever red palmpows they see
first, then one person moves up as the path is being cleared, the job
of that person is to make the boss massive then get outta his range,
when boss is at his cool-down period, go cross onto the other side, keep
seducing the boss so that it doesn't run out to the non-crosser when
they are busy killing npc. For a variation to this, some seducers likes
to go up to boss early before they spawn. If there is no ammo, sword
the boss when the boss is at his cool down period after u seduce him to
massive and get outta his range. When the boss is doing massive,
and if your graphics are on high, then the boss should turn red. Only run
to the boss when the boss is not red anymore. This way you don't get hit.
Pro K-stylers and D-stylers can choose to lock the boss so that the boss wont
see u, thus he cant massive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PRVWnaUoLs - Made by blockman11
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH4sfbMk8TE - Made by BurntJello - Incessant Leader

Palmpow Idol [PRO] (Innovation Private Strat)
1-Lock
2-Shooters
1-Mob
Explained in below video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_MzdqNRH7I

Curse Palmpow [SAFE]
Same concept as above on the palmpow idol safe strategy, this has a bigger
map, so that it should be easier to run around without any unwanted
collisions between teammates. Again don't go near the boss when he is red, sword when
the boss is cooled down after his red light is gone. This boss is more
dangerous for the swording part, because once ur on his left or right
side, he can already start to massive, unlike Palmpow idol, he has to look at u
inorder to massive. Sword, dagger locks might be harder.
Also, kill the big blues first, then big reds, then the rest of the npcs.
For the small npcs, try and use your melee attacks to kill him to save ammo.
[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJtVX7y5VRQ - Made by BurntJello - Incessant Leader

Mansion

HP/AP Tips:
Goblin King (Counting FGK and Dwarf) - I would recommend and even balance of hp/ap. Because his hammer does more damage to health then ap but his fire attacks take more from ap.

Fake Goblin King (1-1-2) [RUSH]
1-Mob/Shoot
1-Ride
2-Shooters (left/right)
Generally, every
one rushes this boss, because this boss is too ezpz that it can be done
in less than 20 seconds. Kill everything at the end of the game for
refunds.
Watch below video for more visual idea of tactic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNMMowq9f3w

Goblin King (1-1-2) [RUSH]
1-Mob/Shoot
1-Ride
2-Shooteres (left/right)
Same as above, this boss is also ezpz that it can be done in less than 30
seconds. Kill everything at the end of the game for refund.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZAqjUa25Lc

Dwarf Goblin King [FFA]
Everyone kills 25 npc, then the boss. The key is to avoid collisions with teammates as much as possible and survive. After you kill all 25, everyone focus on boss.
When out of ammo just have everyone go up and lock boss with melee attacks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BdxQAI8nxU - Made by Chihakuryu - Innovation Admin

Dwarf Goblin King [Cross]
1-cross
3-shooters
Crosser circles 40% of the hall including the boss itself, the
crosser's job is not to kill fast, just to speed dbf with circle while
the non crossers clear off their 60% part of the hall. This strategy is
to decresse the amount of collision possible by the 3 non-crossers
while most npc will be circled by the crosser in mid-late-game. Again,
avoid collisions.

Dwarf Goblin King [Rush]
1-ride/lock
2-shooters
1-mob
This strategy is explained in the blow videos.
The mobber video shows how to mob, the Rider video shows
strategy for 2 shooters and how to ride.
Mobber
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QcEBWvGN0Y
Rider
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qhi0KLg8JE

HP/AP Tips:
Thunder Goblin King - I would either go with a good balance or more ap then hp depending on the skill you have. If you are more prone to getting hit by their lightning then choose ap.

Thunder Goblin King [FFA]
Same as
Dwarf. Everyone kills 25 npc, then the boss. The key is to avoid
collisions with teammates as much as possible and survive.
After you kill all 25, everyone focus on boss.
When out of ammo just have everyone go up and lock boss with melee attacks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BdxQAI8nxU - Made by Chihakuryu - Innovation Admin

Thunder Goblin King [Cross]
Same as Dwarf. Crosser circles 40% of the hall including the boss
itself, the crosser's job is not to kill fast, just to speed dbf with
circle while the non crossers clear off their 60% part of the hall.
This strategy is to decresse the amount of collision possible by the 3
non-crossers while most npc will be circled by the crosser in
mid-late-game. Again, Avoid collisions.

Prison

HP/AP Tips:
Lizardman - I would recommend hp based outfit, but ap based would do too, it would depend on which attack you are hit by the most, his breathe or his sword, hp for sword, and ap for breath.

Giant Lizardman (1-1-2 or 2-1-1) [SAFE/RUSH]
1 or 2-Start
1-Ride
2 or 1-End
There is no reason not to ride this boss in the small tunnel as 4
player team. Riding gives less chance for messiness created by teaming
running around in such a small place. Rider just need to find the pb
spot for the boss to take full dmg, while the shooters circle around
and shoot. If ride fails, try to apply a lock.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtcxmxD617M

HP/AP Tips:
Golem - I would recommend ap based, he has way more attacks that do damage to ap then hp. They are quite devastating if you do not have enough ap to live through them.

Broken Golem (1-1-2) [SAFE/RUSH]
1-Mob
1-Ride/Circle-Spray
2-Shoot
Same as superion, this
strategy benefit both rush and safe play, there is no reason not to do
this. 1 mobber runs up to the 3rd door from the other side where the boss spawns.
No npcs spawn beyond the 3rd door. This allows the moober to control all the npc.
While the shooters just need to stay in the corner and aim the
boss, the rider needs to find a spot to pb the boss with max ammo hits,
or he can chose to circle around the boss and spray.
There are two ways to lock and two ways to ride.
Both are shown in the below video.

NPC/Boss Stats Guide *Note - Palmpow npcs/bosse & FGK, TGK, and DGK are not included
Reading the stats:

Name: Name of the monster
Grade: This is just a rank given to monsters. An easy way of organizing them on difficulty.
Max HP: Max health of the monster
Max AP: Max armor of the monster
Attacks: This is either a melee attack, weapon, or a special technique the monster uses. The damage the attacks inflict is included. Note, the damage the npcs do, increases every quest level as well as their hp and ap. The info below pertains to the amount of damage/hp/ap they have when they first appear. For example, Shamans (elder gobin) don't appear in quest lvl 0-1 and therefore those stats apply for the shamans that appear in quest lvl2. However, the regular goblins appear in quest lvl 0 and so those stats refer to the goblins from that lvl.
Drops: For drops, refer the section of the guide above.

Note: Although the Massive Swing temporarily stuns you, it hits AP first. Meaning even if you get hit by the attack, and you have full ap, you will likely not get any damage done to your hp. If your AP is depleted, then this attack will hit all HP. The damage will also carry onto hp if you have insufficient AP. (It does 30 damage, but if you have 10 AP left, it will do 20 dmg to HP and 10 dmg to AP).

Random Quest Tips

•Do not let yourself get cornered. If you do get cornered, try and use wall post to jump out of there.

•Unless you are pro, don't bring elements to quest as you will almost never need to massive.

•don't ever tumble/dash straight towards the ranged attackers (wraith/goblin gunner), tumble/dash at a 45 degrees so that they won't hit you as much. ~ Blue Dragon-sy

•When getting ammo, to not waste it, wait untill your gun has either a full clip or empty so you need to reload. If you shoot 2 revolver shots and have 4 left, if you get an ammo it'll only give you 2 bullets. Jes****er

• When an Item is dropped in the game, it is automatically assigned to a person. If that person leaves, the items that were assigned to him will be "lost." So if you collect a large skull and someone leaves, then at the end none of you got the large skull, chances are... that teammate was assign the large skull, but because he left, it was loss. ~ Chiharu-chan

• When doing Prison Quest, it is easier to bf the Lizards or sword slash them in a circle rather than shoot them because the turning speed of the monsters are very slow.~ Chrono_Ky

• When soloing, the biggest most imporant technique that you will need is spawn control. That is, instead of mass killing all the npcs, kill the ones you should kill first one at a time. This is especially important in Prison page 41, 65, Masnion page 25, 41, 65, and Dungeon 25, 41, 65. If you kill many easy npcs for example in mansion lvl 5 stage 5, the chances are 4-5 new shamans will spawn and cause you massive pain.~ Chihakuryu

• Don't try and type in quest when soloing if possible because it could lead you to getting killed.~Milan

• When using rockets, aim on the floor and not at the npc.~ Milan

• During portal count down, if you're not in the portal by 5 seconds, then just wait until time runs out. If you go in at 0 seconds you might cause a portal glitch in which your portion of the npcs won't be able to die unless your team mates massive them.~ Milan

Frequently Asked Questions
The following questions were taken from the SoV Quest Guide. The answers have been edited to fit this guide as well as parts taken out that were irrelevant.

Q: How do I do higher level quests?
A: Quest is broken up into 6 levels, level 0 (levels 1-4), level 1 (levels 5+), level 2 (levels 13+), level 3 (levels 25+), level 4 (levels 41+), and level 5 (levels 65+). In order to do quest levels 2, 3, and 4, you have to buy torn pages from the shop with bounty. You can only buy up to 99 pages. To do quest level 5, you have to get page 65s from defeating bosses. All bosses have the posibility of dropping a page 65 except for the palmpow commander.

Q: How do I get boss items?
A: You can get boss items starting on page 13+ dungeon, mansion, or page 41+ prison.

Q: What are the boss combos?
A: Look on post 4

Q: How do I beat a boss?
A: Look on post 1-2

Q: How do you lock a boss? I can't do it.

A: Look at video guides on post 1

Q: Do I need to hack to beat a boss?
A: Watch the video guides on post 1 to get your answer or view the other sections of this guide or other quest guides.

Q: OMG someone ran away without using a boss item!
A: That's not a question, but get over it. Boss items are common. If you really want to boss that bad, come quest with Innovation or any of the other pro quest clans like Winland, SoV, THC, etc

Q: What does raw meat/small skull/iron earring/etc. do?
A: They are for show or sell, think of them as crappy treasure.

Q: Why can't I equip boss swords?
A: They are not equipable. They are used as trophies to show that you've beaten the boss, and nothing else. You can of course sell them for bounty though.

Q: What should I kill first?
Depends on the quest. Look at the guides to see which you should kill first on which quest.

Q: I keep dying, what should I do?

A: Watch the guides.

Q: Wow, all this is impressive, how can I join Innovation?
A: You can join Innovation by going to our forums at: innovation.darkbb.com and looking at our recruitment section for more info.

Quest Weapon Combination Guide

user posted image Weapons

This is the weapons section for rating each type of gun and eventually a list of the popular weapon combos. They are rated according to how much I would recommend them. I tested everything myself, so this is just my experience when using them.

Guns

Pistols (*** ) [mid range]- Not a bad weapon choice as long as you know when to use it-- use short bursts at mid range to take out either melee or ranged. Sniping is also a possibility, but not nearly as effective as revs.

Revolvers (**** ) [long range]- Good armor-piercing damage. Excellent for taking out all ranged types of monsters.

SMGs (** ) [close range]- Good for taking out groups of melee charging at you at close range. At mid range you still do some damage, but you begin to miss and you will lose your ammo fast.

Rifles (*****) [long range]- Decent damage and very good at taking down all enemies from very long ranges.

Shotguns (* ) [close range]- not recommended. limited ammo + the pellets spread very quickly. most pbs will not single-hit kill most enemies, so prepare to run out of ammo pretty fast. Only use if you are pro with melee.

Rocket Launchers (**/**** ) [close to mid range]- Good splash damage, but ammo is even more limited than the shotgun. long range only against immobile targets. Understand this is not a horrible weapon for quest, but it is difficult to manage. The rating for this weapons is ** for maps such as prison/mansion but **** for dungeon.

MGs (*****) [close to mid range]- High damage + huge ammo capacity per clip. You should almost never have to use reload when using this gun correctly. When fallen monsters drop ammo, always make sure the MG is full before refilling any other weapon type.

Melee Weapon Tips

Because you can't really rate melee weps I will just give tips for each type of melee. The reason you can't rate them, is because a pro dstyle quester and play just as well as a pro kstyle quester.

Katana/Sword - Things to learn when using sword. Learn to use effectively fast bf or dbf. Learn to lock with bf. Learn to block spam. Learn to flip cancel. Learn not to massive after getting block tapped. Learn to effectively wall post.

Pros:
Can attk more multiple enemies when mobbed together.
Can flip npcs when you are over crowded.
Can block npcs attk.
Since you can block, it's easy to massive.
Does most damage.
Good for using elements.

Cons:
Longer delay meaning its harder to lock bosses such as idol. (When locking can only slash about 1-3 times before having to move depending on the player)
Med-heavy.
Sometimes you can accidently glitch yourself to move in 1 direction for about 2-5 seconds leaving you open for attk.
Can't use too many advanced kstyle techniques against npcs effectively.
Can sometimes massive when you don't want to.

Kodachi/Double Sword - Things to learn when using kodachi. Learn to use effectively fast bf or dbf. Learn to lock with bf. Learn to block spam. Learn not to massive after getting block tapped. Learn to effectively wall post.

Pros:
Less delay so can get in about 2-3 slashes when locking.
Learn to speed slash.
When massiving you can actually move more during the attk alowing you more space to move away.
Can block.
Can massive using block tap.
Good for using with elements.

Cons:
Heaviest of the melee weps meaning that armor arrangement can be difficult.
Attk range is shorter than sword.
Can't flip cancel like you can with sword.
Less damage than sword.

Dagger - Things to learn when using dagger. How to lock with dagger. Learn to move fast and anticipate npc attks. Learn to elunge. Learn to wall post effectively. Learn to circle big groups of npcs.

Pros:
Lightest of the melee weps meaning better armor meaning more hp/ap.
Very mobile.
Good for dealing damage to fast an npc.
Easiest melee for locking.
Lunging and elunging can be very useful.
Good for hitting multiple enemies many times while moving along side them.

Cons:
Can't block.
Makes elements almost entirely useless since you can only massive by power it up.
Deals least amount of damage when compared to other melee types.
Takes more skill to learn elunge than it does bf/dbf
Short range of attk.

Things Not To Do In Quest

Don't be c.ocky by bringing shot guns only if you're not pro.
Don't bring smoke gernades or flash bangs.
Don't lunge people constantly. It only pisses people off and will probably get you kicked.
If you're not in the portal by 5 seconds, DON'T go in. If you happen to go in at 0 seconds you will have a high chance of portal glitching the next stage.
Don't play with hackers.
Don't use hacks.
Don't do other strategies when your team mates have already decided who crosses/locks etc.
Don't enter and game and then leave for no reason.
Don't complain that some got a box when you didn't.
Don't take ammo/hp/ap when you are either full or near full. Most likely your team mate might need it more than you.
Don't be an @$$ in game and try and be nice to everyone.

Quest Myths

Shooting the Shaman in the head or killing the shaman with melee only will not give you necks. It's all random.
The same goes for Superion/Aneramon bosses/npcs.
You CAN hit the palmpow in a quest page IF you have more than 1 player alive.
The person who picks up the box doesn't necessarily get the item. It's all random.
Waiting to pick up a box doesn't increase your chance of getting a certain item.
When fighting the palmpow bosses, massiving DOES do damage to the boss.

Pro Quest Video Section

In this section I will post any quest videos which I believe are examples or proness. If you would like your video in this section just post me the link and I'll take a look at the video to see if I think it should go in this section.

Special Thx:
To all the pro quest clans that came before Innovation such as Re.tardz, iQuestGodz, Winland, SoV etc. I would also like to thank the clans BlackRain and BossHunterse for their videos. To all the Admins in Innovation and the leader StJeaNi who helped put together these guides. Thanks to all the admins who have done the above recordings, and to those who helped make the guides. Thanks also to StJeaNi and Aiden- who put a lot of work into the written guides above which helped make my editing of them easier. Thanks to all the pro questers out there in which us, Innovation, and many other questers have learned from. Thanks to all the other clans who made solo videos or videos of doing bosses which I've added to certains parts of this guide as example videos of guides that have not been made. Also, if any other clans or users have any quest guides they would like to add to this sticky just post your link below and I will add it to the list if I think it fits. I would also like to say thanks to all the previous forumers who have posted guides in the past. I would like to thank also the members of Innovation, Acer, Sumo, and other clans who have provided me with screen shots to add to this quest guide. I would also like to say a special thanks for SoV and their quest thread guide for helping me learn in keeping my own sticky in order like theirs ^.^v The SoV guide has a lot of good parts too, some of which I used to help create this guide, however I had to end up editing and updating the parts from their guide which I added (such as the FAQ). I would also like to thank Zyster for helping me with all the numbers for exp/bounty for quests section. I would also like to give a super big thanks to Nayruu for the help from his guide that he put together. From his guide, I used the info on the npcs/bosses for their stats to use for this guide. I have also taken parts of his guide like the random tips part, re-edited the out of date tips or tips/advice which has already been put into this guide as well as added some of my own to it too. I would also like to thank all the pros who posted up videos on line of their quest accomplishments. I would like to also thank LuckyStars and Omerrok for their video guides which I have also added. Let's keep Gunz fun and have fun playing everyone ^.^v

P.S. In some of the video examples I have in this thread, some of the players names and their clan names are not posted in the video or are not readable due to bad quality of video. If someone knows what clan someone is in from the example videos I have posted, and knows whether or not they are a member/admin/ or leader could you please let me know so I can give the proper credit to them.

Nah, it wasn't because it was pinned. It's because the editing time for new users is 30 minutes. But I removed it.
